The storyline of One Piece Film Red revolves around the Straw Hat Pirates embarking on a new adventure to find the powerful artefact known as the Red Diamond. Along the way, they must face off against the Red Flag Pirates and a new enemy known as Red Eye.
The movie begins with the Straw Hats receiving a new quest from their ally, Princess Vivi of Alabasta. She informs them that the Red Diamond, a powerful artefact said to possess immense power, is being sought after by the Red Flag Pirates. Vivi asks the Straw Hats to find the Red Diamond before the Red Flag Pirates do and to keep it out of their hands.
As the Straw Hats set sail, they encounter a new enemy, Red Eye, who seems to have a personal vendetta against Luffy. Red Eye is revealed to be a powerful fighter with mysterious powers that allow him to manipulate fire. The Straw Hats are also joined by a new ally, a young girl named Maria who possesses a unique ability to see into the future.
